NATURE AREA GUIDELINES

Sentosa island is home to a variety of nature areas, ranging from the lush forests at Imbiah Hill and Fort Siloso, to our gardens, freshwater ponds, and golden beaches.

Some areas, such as Tanjong Rimau (Siloso Headland) and Mount Serapong, are also important biodiversity sites with a rich array of flora and fauna. To protect the natural environment and ensure the safety of our guests, visits to Tanjong Rimau and Mount Serapong are only available through guided tours by Sentosa Development Corporation (SDC),or SDC-approved tours. Guests are also urged to treat our fragile ecosystems with care, so that these nature areas continue to thrive.

A permit is required if you wish to conduct research studies, photography, filming or other programmes at any of the nature areas mentioned above.

For enquiries, please drop us an email at nature@sentosa.com.sg

Should you require immediate assistance during your visit, please call 1800-RANGERS (1800-726 4377).

Dos and Don'ts at Nature Areas

DO'S

 • Visit during the daytime so as not to disturb wildlife at night.
 • Remain on designated footpaths and trails. Do also keep to your left to allow others to pass through.
 • When on a guided tour, please follow your guide closely.
 • Respect nature and fellow visitors by keeping your noise levels down. Any form of loud noise (for e.g. playing music through speakers) is strongly discouraged.
 • Dispose of your litter at designated bins. Let’s keep our nature areas litter-free.
 • If you encounter wildlife, admire them from afar. Do not approach them
 • Leave nothing but footprints, take nothing but photographs. Leave all flora and fauna in their natural habitats for all to enjoy.
 • Should you need to visit the washroom, please use the facilities located within walking distance from the nature areas.

DON'TS
 • For your safety, do not visit during bad weather as strong winds and heavy rains may result in slippery surfaces or branches falling within the nature areas.
• Refrain from bringing pets to nature areas as they may disturb native wildlife.
• Smoking is prohibited in our nature areas.
• Fishing, poaching, or any act of hurting wildlife in Sentosa, are prohibited.
• To protect our eco-systems, the collection of materials, including but not limited to rocks, wildlife, marine life, and plants, from our nature areas is prohibited.
• Do not feed native or stray animals, as this may cause them to become dependent on humans for food. The food that we consume may also be unsuitable for animals and cause them to become ill.
• Barbequing, pitching of tents, and camping are not allowed in our nature areas.
• Do not cycle and buggy on natural paths.
 • Do not play sports or games in nature areas or venture into thickets, unless authorised, so as not to disturb wildlife or damage young tree saplings.
 • Flying of drones or unmanned aircraft is not allowed within the nature areas, unless authorised.
 • Unless authorised, motor vehicles are not allowed in the nature areas.

This list serves only as a guide and is not exhaustive or intended to be a complete list of the regulations and prohibited actions applicable to the nature areas, and shall not be construed to waive or restrict the enforcement of any offence.
