Thrill-seekers can soar like eagles on our island's favourite adrenaline-pumping activity. MegaZip is a 450-meter zipline at a speed of 60km/h. The MegaZip allows you to soar over a lush forest, swaying palm trees and a sandy beach all while enjoying South China Sea views.

Topping the list of our island’s most romantic spots to pop the question is The Southernmost Point of Continental Asia. To get into the Sentosa mood, anywhere and anytime, all you need to do is crack open a can of the Sentosa x Brewerkz Islander Brews. These Singapore-made craft beers are delicious, tropical and made with top-notch locally sourced ingredients. Plus, with flavours that are inspired by island experiences.

Flavours include the Tanjung Rimau Craft Beer with hints of nutmeg, coriander and a citrusy yuzu, and the Bukit Manis brew; a Jasmine Kolsch characterised by its crisp, fruity and sparkling nature. The four 330ml canned beers are available at select Sentosa F&B and retail outlets, supermarkets, and on the Brewerkz e-store and online retailers.

Some Sentosa restaurants offer a delicious three-tiered afternoon tea service that you should definitely indulge in. At LeBar, the Sofitel’s pavilion-style lounge bar the best seats allow you to look out onto greenery (and maybe a strutting peacock, or two) and at Capella Singapore’s The Knolls you could be tucking into Foie Gras Terrine and Cured Norwegian Salmon sandwich while gazing out at hotel’s lush treetops and the South China Sea beyond. If it is just a quick cuppa you want, Golfer’s Terrace offers teh and kaya toast with sweeping views of the verdant Tanjong Course. 

We are as much an escape to immerse ourselves in nature, as we are an island of beaches, beach clubs and attractions. Sentosa’s Imbiah Trail is a carefully preserved trail that provides several kilometres of unspoiled nature immersion.

Easily accessible via bus or monorail, the trail includes a 200m “canopy walk” through treetops, an 80m high forested hill, heritage trees, rare flora and fauna and a cascading waterfall.

Take a hike. We highly recommend it, it is like therapy!

It may start off at the Siloso Point bus stop near Fort Siloso, but the Coastal Trail is 2.2km of lush coastal forest that has both land and sea, local wildlife such as bats, birds, macaques, snakes and endangered plant species like the Seashore Mangosteen and Dracena Minyagi.

Plus natural beaches with sandy and rocky shores and a variety of marine life, including hard and soft corals, seagrass, seaweed, crabs, anemones, molluscs and fish.

There are sound and light shows, and then there is #magicalshores. Magical Shores is a multi-sensory experience that transforms Siloso beach into an interactive light and sound spectacle. With light and effects playing with the sand, sea and the trees, the visual effects are striking and your camera will not be able to get enough. Easily one of the best things to do on our island after dark.

Among the plethora of exciting activities within S.E.A Aquarium and Adventure Cove Waterpark, a chance to deep dive into a pool of sharks certainly tops the list.

Only for SCUBA-certified thrill-seekers, gear up and get into the Shark Seas Habitat and get up close and personal with over 100 sharks from 12 different species, including the endangered scalloped hammerhead shark, silvertip shark and sandbar shark.

No certification? No problem, try being submerged amidst the sharks safely ensconced within an acrylic enclosure in the S.E.A. Aquarium shark habitat.

Or those that can be done in groups such for mega fun and laughs, such as the Banana boat ride and Donut ride. All of which can be topped off with delicious tiki cocktails from Ola’s bar.

You do not need to add ‘bungee jump’ to your eventual travel bucket list, because this mega-adventurous, screamingly awesome activity is available right at your doorstep and on our island. Challenge yourself to a 50-metres free-fall with a beach and sea view.

Equal parts joyride, and equal parts an extremely handy way to get in and out of the island, and also around with its well-appointed stations. The Sentosa Express monorail allows for mesmerising views as it travels in and around the island and allows island-goers easy access to bus and MRT stations.

Within the island, the stations become a hub of activity with amenities, restaurants, and attractions all within reach.

Fort Siloso — Singapore's only well-preserved coastal fort with an on-site military museum, maybe a far cry from anything else on the island, but is an important piece of history and heritage, lovingly maintained. The fort itself boasts an old-world charm, and the museum is packed with WWII memorabilia.

There are guided tours, or you could wander around the surrender chamber, tunnels and get up close with ancient coastal guns and the remains of fortified military structures on your own, for an experience like no other.

The fort itself may be decades old and has stood the test of time, but the newly built Skywalk is an eleven storey huge treetop trail that promises a scenic walk and dozens of insta-worthy moments en route to Fort Siloso. Stretching 181 meters long, the Skywalk trail has scenic views of the sea, forests and the island below, and lots of spots for quiet introspection.

There is so much more to the island than beach clubs and thrilling attractions. To delve deeper into the natural flora, fauna and wildlife on Sentosa Island, head to the Sentosa Nature Discovery — a nature trail with interactive exhibits, sculptures and a lookout point.

It houses the Geology Gallery which is packed with information on the island’s original formation, its coastal forests, rock samples and fossils. Learning here can be free and easy, or via organised guided tours.

The lack of travel may have caused cabin fever for us all, but there is one fun and fabulous way to relieve that itch. At Sentosa Cove, ONE15 Luxury Yachting is providing luxury ‘seacation’s, where you can actually step away from Singapore (and Sentosa), in style.

On offer are elegant catamarans, luxury yachts and fun-filled sailboats. Via these you could choose to have a leisurely three-day, two-night cruise, with stops at nearby islets such as Lazarus, Pulau Semakau (Singapore’s first and only offshore landfill island) and Pulau Hantu.

This is one for those with a sense of adventure and wonder. Explore Singapore’s last remaining coastal cliff and rocky shores, the Siloso Headland (also known as Tanjong Rimau) needs to be seen to be believed, and the safest way to explore is via a tour guided programme.

Get up close to varieties of corals, seagrass, and a wide variety of marine wildlife. The beautiful natural landscape with the original and aged old rock outcrop is also a great spot for photography enthusiasts.

The island boasts a seamless network of cycling trails, and you can now easily ride your bike in and out of the island and explore all that the island has to offer via designated cycling trails that stretch out to about 12km. There are clearly demarcated paths and several spots to park your bike.

The three separate trails allow gorgeous sea and harbour views and even portions that go up and downhill for those who enjoy a challenge.

Apart from walking, cycling, picnicking and beach clubbin’ here’s something else you can do along Sentosa’s beaches --- GoGreen Segway rides. They’re a fun, affordable and eco-friendly way to explore.

Glide around the beaches on a super-cool Segway personal transporter. No effort required, and it’s super easy with the free training provided. It also makes for excellent photo ops.

The newest, most thrilling attraction off Sentosa’s beaches is the floating Aqua Park, HydroDash. A collection of inflatables that jointly form a mega water playground where kids and adults can climb, slide, leap, bounce and try not to fall into the water. The constant peals of laughter and squeals of excitement you hear are testament to how fabulous and fun this is

There are several ways to reminisce the good old days on our island, at Madame Tussauds Singapore, there are ways to experience a Singapore of days gone by through the Images of Singapore exhibit where you walk through the Singapore of humble fishing villages, bustling Chinatowns and the commercial square or the beginnings of the city’s CBD.

For a more immersive experience, hop onto the Spirit of Singapore boat ride which is a light, sound and sense spectacle of travelling via boat through a fantasy, tropical Singaporean garden.

TThere is tons of delicious food to be had on our island, but head to Quayside Isle for the largest concentration of restaurants by the waterfront, overlooking a marina packed with superyachts. This idyllic destination is located within the lux confines of Sentosa Cove, with an array of dining options — from bars to authentic Spanish food, and Asian-fusion cuisines.

Quayside Isle is both child-friendly and suitable for date nights, special occasions or for days you want to feel like you are not in Singapore. From delicious pizza at Sole Pomodoro to the freshest cold seafood at Greenwood Fish Market, you will be spoilt for choice.

Cannot fly to Paris? Fret not, come to the island for lunch, dinner or drinks at Le Faubourg; a French Bistro. Expect a combination of indoor tables that mimic a dining room inspired by a Parisian apartment or outdoor seats set against a heritage building.
